Instructions for use:
1. Begin the retreatment by creating access to the root canal, remove gutta percha, and establish working length.
2. Fill a clean syringe with EdgeUtopia™ BC Solvent solution.
3. Attach an irrigation needle tip securely to syringe (e.g. 30ga Edge® Irrigation Probe Tip).
4. Clean the canal with EdgeUtopia™ BC Solvent alternating between flushing and soaking periods of 30 seconds. Continue irrigation until evacuated fluid is clear, it is recomended to use 6-12mL per canal. Followed by thoroughly rinsing the canal(s) with water.
5. Irrigate with EdgeEndo® 5% Sodium Hypochlorite, EdgeMix™ and EdgeEndo® 5% Sodium Hypochlorite again for optimal canal cleanliness.
6. All steps can be activated using Ultrasonics.
7. Evacuate the canal with a micro suction tip.
8. Blot out the canal using 1-2 paper points.
PRECAUTIONS: Read SDS for material handling and safety information. EdgeUtopia™ BC Solvent is not intended to remove gutta percha, resin-based sealers, or zinc oxide eugenol sealers. Do not use this
product on patients with a known sensitivity to its ingredients. Proper treatment planning and establishment of working length is required prior to use of this product. Following standard of care, isolate the tooth prior to use of this product with an appropriately sized EdgeDam™ to prevent
unintended tissue contact or accidental ingestion. Properly evacuate the canal during use of this product to prevent unintended tissue contact or accidental ingestion. It is recommended to use irrigation tips with lateral venting (27ga or smaller) to ensure effective distribution of irrigation
solution throughout the root canal and minimize the risk of apical extrusion.
